Hello, my name is Yuki and I am an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist. :dance:

This oekaki was started on February 24th and due to a lot of stuff coming up (including sickness and what was mentioned in my journal and Kat picture), I could only spare a few minutes to work on it at a time. That and it was rather frustrating to get Yugi's hair to look right. However, in spite of all the obsticles I am just too stubborn to give up on a pic I really like and so I finally finished my best oekaki ever. I am so very proud of myself. :bow:

Anyway, onto the picture itself. This stemmed from me not only wanting to get used to drawing Yugi and Atemu and their infuriating hair, but to try and draw them in more my style and not go crazy from trying to mimic the official style. How Kazuki Takahashi and other artists can draw them in his style so effortlessly I will never know. :crazy:

Another reason why I drew it was because I wanted to draw Yugi in one of those Genex/Generation Next/GX uniforms. Why? Because :iconneonmouko: and I are trying to get an RP up and rolling how we felt GX should have gone, with the official characters involved. New characters are nice (even if I am slightly unnerved that I share the same name as the main character), but it's just not Yu-Gi-Oh without Yugi, darn it! His name is in the bloody title!

Sometime I'll try and do a full-size drawing of Yugi in his uniform. After I recover from this picture of course. :faint:

Additionally, for those of you who noticed that this picture has been submitted then deleted twice before now, I apologize for that. DeviantART was giving me so many problems it isn't funny. As I write this I am hoping that third time's the charm and that it will actually appear with a thumbnail and no other problems. Cross your fingers for me and hope that it works and that this entire ordeal isn't going to get me in trouble. -_-

[EDIT] Oh good, it looks like my uploading of a thumbnail this time worked. Unfortunately there's no zoom out of the picture, but it's better than an errored picture or no thumbnail at all, ne?

[EDIT2] After all that I just noticed that I forgot to put a link in to where the RPG is. :ohmygod: [link]

LOVE THE PIXELY GOODNESS!!! 8D
I was all "Cool!" about GX at first, but that died pretty fast... it just wasn't the same without the original characters we all grew to love. It was... to different I think to enjoy.
But anyways, those outfits were kick ass, and Yuugi would rock hardcore in one of those. Your oekaki skills blow me away here. I just am astounded by the detail in all of this - the composition, the way his face is angled, the way his eyes are drawn and focused, and most especially...
that hair.
You must have the patience of a saint to do that hair. It's GORGEOUS. His hair always gave me a pain in the ass too, but oh God did you make it so pretty. It's all full of color and highlights and shiny... I want to pet it *pets it*
:+favlove: Because this is just too damn cool not to love. Plus, that bg? Utter love, because cherry blossoms + light colors = instant love.

lol, when i was at my friends house i watched...gx...i was so caught up in trying to find yugi and the gang that i dont even remember what the show was about. after that i was pissed, i cant believe they went on without them. i stopped watching, unless one of the old ones plays(which they never do...)but ur right about the picture, i didnt know someone was this talented,(or more of a perfectionist that i am lol) good job, and post more soon please ^.^
